Our Mission & Vision
To empower underprivileged women, particularly dalit women & safeguard children’s rights by helping them understand their role and responsibility in fighting against all sorts of violence and discrimination, principally those centering on caste and gender, and thus promote the establishment of Human Rights in a just society.

Who We Are
Dalit Empowerment Foundation (DEF) is a community-based organization (CBO) that is led and managed by Dalit Women, located at Tala Upazila in Satkhira District. DEF works with marginalized and untouchable women and girls called “Dalits” in Bangladesh since 2008. DEF aims to promote human rights, social justice and dignity for Dalit women and children.
